As a MonkeyLearn customer or partner, under GDPR you qualify as a Data Controller and MonkeyLearn is acting as a Data Processor for your user data.

Helping provide rights to your users

MonkeyLearn processes data according to instructions from the controller, and we have implemented security measures to assure that this data is properly protected. In addition, we take steps to ensure that a minimal amount of user data (texts) is subject to processing.

Furthermore, MonkeyLearn is committed to providing your users and clients with their individual rights with regard to:

  • The right to be informed

  • The right of access

  • The right to certification

  • The right to erasure (or the right to be forgotten)

  • The right to restrict processing

  • The right to data portability

  • The right to object

  • Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling

For all requests from your users exercising any of the rights listed above, please get in touch with support@monkeylearn.com

What else might you need to do?

If your company is trying to be GDPR compliant as a data controller with MonkeyLearn acting as your data processor. You will need to look into additional steps to ensure compliance: such as ensuring that you notify your users to the data that you will be collecting and why, as well as the legal basis for obtaining such data, and providing details on who you will be sharing it with.

If you have customers in the EU, please look into signing a DPA with MonkeyLearn by emailing support@monkeylearn.com.
